What stays on your device
Tasks, habits, notes, projects, preferences, and widget snapshots are stored in Clarity’s local app containers. Clarity does not require an account and does not include advertising, analytics, cross-app tracking, or a developer-operated cloud library.

Voice and intelligence
When you invoke voice, Clarity records audio to a temporary file and uploads it to Clarity’s backend. The backend sends audio to Groq for transcription. It may also send the transcript, request context, and when rewriting an open note, the current note title and body for structured interpretation. The app removes its temporary recording after the request finishes.
Clarity uses Groq as a processor for these voice requests. We do not use voice content for advertising or cross-app tracking. Infrastructure providers may temporarily process technical request data needed to deliver and protect the service.

Approximate weather location
If you grant When In Use location access and request weather, Clarity rounds latitude and longitude to one decimal place before requesting the current conditions from Apple WeatherKit. Clarity does not send this weather location to its own backend. After weather is displayed, the app also shows a minimal Weather link to the legal page supplied by WeatherKit.
Weather is optional. If you do not grant location permission, Clarity continues to work without it.

Apple services
Clarity can read step count and sleep totals from HealthKit only after you connect a habit. It never writes Health data, and the values are not sent to Clarity’s backend. If you enable Calendar sync, eligible task details are written to a dedicated Apple Calendar and may synchronize according to your iCloud settings. StoreKit handles subscription purchases and entitlement checks; Clarity does not receive payment-card details.

Voice backend and production infrastructure
Clarity’s voice backend uses short-lived technical information to authenticate requests, prevent abuse, and return a response. The app does not maintain a cloud copy of your Clarity library. Hosting and AI processing providers may handle request metadata and the content needed to complete the voice request.

Your choices
You can delete individual content inside Clarity, remove Microphone, Location, Calendar, Health, or Notification permission in iOS Settings, and delete the app to remove its local app data from that iPhone. Feedback composed in Settings uses the system share sheet; nothing is sent automatically.
